Build Generation worked closely with the Hunter project team, including retail design consultancy Checkland Kindleysides, for several months prior to carrying out due diligence surveys on several properties to ensure the correct office space was selected for Hunter’s future growth. The Hunter offices are functional and reflect a strong sense of Hunter’s heritage and branding.
The refurbishment works included cellularized offices, open plan spaces, meeting rooms and teapoints on each of the 3 floors completed. With the challenge of working over 3 floors simultaneously and on a carefully managed budget, Build Generation successfully completed the project in the 8 week timescale.

The ESU was established by Royal Charter with her Majesty the Queen as Patron and his Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh as President. It’s location, Dartmouth house, was constructed in 1750 and remodeled extensively in an Anglo – French style in 1870 by Edward Bearing, founder of Bearings Bank. The unique style and heritage of this building was carefully considered in Build Generation’s extensive refurbishment of the private members bar.
With a design scheme that complemented the Anglo – French interior, works consisted of bespoke French Polishing of the listed paneling and antique furniture, the installation of a new bar area complete with the contemporary finishes of a modern members bar and a custom LED lighting network carefully placed to complement new chandelier lighting fixtures.

Build Generation collaborated on a very tight project programme with DTZ project management and IHG’s corporate real estate and facilities teams to deliver their board of directors offices in central London. Incorporating IHG’s hospitality and branding aesthetics, the offices are highly cellularized and finished to a very high standard.
Build Generation’s knowledge of the complex mechanical & electrical systems in the building helped accelerate both the pre-construction and construction programs.
From the beginning, this dynamic young group of entrepreneurs wanted something modern and different. The brief was to create a space that reflected the brand values of a youthful, dynamic and fast-paced company with a workspace that fueled creativity, flexibility and future growth. Alternating light blue and grey resin flooring was installed to define the working areas, whilst bookshelves created a meeting room in an open space plan. The space is situated on a lower ground floor so an outdoor feel was desired which we created using astro-turf grass and by illuminating the area with natural-inspired high bay lights. An existing shell was fitted with soft high bay lighting, creating an illusion of natural light coming through. Costs were managed successfully by determining the function of each area during the planning and development phases. Various levels of detailing and finishes were then applied appropriately.
Our brief from Russian based Paolo Marchetti Interiors was to create a flagship retail storefront that would bring to life their bespoke made-to-measure range of home furnishings and interior decorating. They wanted to create a mood and feel of different home environments within the retail space that would best show off their range of high quality home furnishings. We worked closely with Paolo Marchetti’s Russian Head Office based in Moscow on the conceptual designs and look & feel of the space to ensure brand integrity was met throughout each phase of the design and construction process. We then ensured that every aspect of their design could be adapted to the space and building requirements. From installing bespoke hard wood floors to specialised lighting, we created over eight bespoke rooms in this location, each having a different mood, look and feel designed around a specific furniture installation and concept. Build Generation completed this project ahead of schedule and on budget.
Shortly after completing their flagship retail shop on Tottenham Court Road, Paolo Marchetti called on Build Generation again for their Hampstead location. This mulit-level shop needed stripping down to the core before work could start. A bespoke glass balustrade was installed to give a minimalist feel, while Irish stone clad columns gave a rustic home interiors feel. An Austrian WeitzerParkett timber wall was installed in another part of the retail area giving depth and texture to the space. Great attention to detail was paid to each area to create the perfect, bespoke home environment throughout the retail space, keeping in mind the design, mood and feel in highlighting each room’s luxury Paolo Marchetti furnishings.
BBFC has been located in the historic Soho Square for nearly 100 years. Our brief was to create a contemporary upgrade to the existing space that would still be in keeping with the BBFC brand and the building’s historic architecture. Being in a listed building, we worked closely with the facilities team to create a contemporary environment, whilst keeping within the boundaries and requirements of the conservation performance specification. Bespoke joinery was created to match the existing look and feel of the interior and stone flooring as well as a bespoke timber paneling created the contemporary feel the BBFC was after.
A growing construction and property law firm, Tudor Rose wanted an office that reflected a traditional and classic look and feel. They also wanted consideration for future growth, adequate storage and tight security incorporated into the new space plan. We enhanced the simple white walls by using walnut panelling within the reception area and the bespoke walnut door and frames created the classic look they were after. We then augmented the base build lighting with down lighters, giving concentrated light to the right areas. The boardroom also featured bespoke Audio Visual requirements and installations.
This fast-growing American IT company gave us the brief to create a contemporary office environment — and they needed to move in a very short period of time. The brief was a combination of open plan which reflected their fast pace of growth, as well as cellular offices for senior management. The idea was to create a workplace that mirrored the company’s brand ethos, whilst bringing a London feel to the new office space. We incorporated a glass partitioning to ensure maximum light came through to the rest of the office space. We then incorporated alternating types of flooring to define different areas of the office without using additional partitioning. We also incorporated touches of iconic London landmarks onto the glazed partitioning and reception areas to give Rocket Fuel the London touch they were after. Build Generation provided the fast turn around Rocket Fuel was after within budget, on time and above expectations.
“When we agreed to lease Clipstone Street, we had a plethora of outlandish ideas and no clue on execution. Fortunately, Jason & Ash were there to guide us through every excruciating decision, and were professional enough not to laugh us out of the meeting room when we suggested a water slide for an entrance. Build Generation were able to complete the work from inception through delivery in our tight time frame to a high standard and with good communication throughout. A+++ design & build company, would contract again”.
“Soon after we decided to search for our new office we were inundated with companies wanting to help. Build Generation stood out due to their clear communication and a no-nonsense approach. They listened to our brief and delivered on every detail, incomparable”.

Build Generation managed to take both projects from the “shell only” stage to a full completion. We will continue to work with Build Generation for their high standard of work, adhesion to demanding timeframes and great client management. Whenever we will be changing our expositions or taking on more retail units, we will always employ Build Generation.”
