Designing An Inclusive And Sustainable Office For Citizens Advice
When Citizens Advice approached Buildgen for their new office space, they wanted a design that reflected their ethos and branding in a fresh and innovative way. Our team worked closely with theirs to create a space that not only looked great but was also functional, inclusive, and true to their values.
The design featured unique elements such as half-height painted walls, feature carpets, and vinyl graphics throughout, all carefully chosen to integrate Citizens Advice’s identity in a visually striking way. We also worked closely with their team to maximize the reuse of existing furniture, reducing waste and contributing to a more sustainable approach.
A key focus of the project was ensuring full DDA compliance. We designed accessible phone booths, meeting spaces, and tea points to ensure all staff and visitors could navigate the space with ease. The design also thoughtfully considered neuro-divergence in the workplace, providing environments that accommodated both hypo and hypersensitive individuals, creating a supportive, inclusive atmosphere for everyone.
Throughout the entire process, Buildgen collaborated with Citizens Advice and our move management team to ensure the final space not only met their operational needs but also fostered a welcoming and accessible environment for all. We're proud to have been part of creating an office that truly aligns with their mission and values.
